We’re Looking for a Volunteer Grant Coordinator!

Squamish Search and Rescue is seeking a Volunteer Grant Coordinator to help us secure funding for essential training and equipment. This is a great opportunity to contribute to your community in a meaningful way.

About the Role

This is a support position, different from our response members. There is no field involvement or additional SAR training offered. Instead, you’ll lead the grant process from start to finish—researching opportunities, coordinating submissions, and ensuring compliance. If you’re detail-oriented, enjoy writing, and have strong project management skills, this role is for you.

Commitment Required

We expect some initial heavy lifting to get the process organized. Once set up, ongoing commitment is estimated to average 6-8 hours per month throughout the year, depending on grant deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify funding opportunities
  • Track and manage grant deliverables and deadlines
  • Collaborate with our Treasurer and specialty teams
  • Ensure applications meet all criteria
  • Maintain documentation libraries and calendars

You’ll have support from our team for writing and input gathering—we just need someone to drive the process forward.

Why Join Us?

  • Help fund essential training and equipment
  • Work with a passionate, community-focused team
