Happy #GivingTuesday! We are asking our community supporters to help us reach our goal of $20,000. These donations help provide safety equipment and supplies and cover the cost of training and operational expenses for the Squamish Search and Rescue Society’s Rescue Teams. We know that accidents happen in the outdoors. Members of our 100% volunteer run team have been extensively trained in technical and emergency medical skills required to reach, treat and extricate injured, distressed or lost people from the backcountry for over 46 years. From humble beginnings as a group of friends helping out the community emergency program, SSARS has grown to 84 volunteer members on call 24/7, 365 days per year.
